Software Engineer (Fullstack)(m/f/d)
Job Description
About synvert a GlobalLogic company
As part of synvert, in Portugal, you’ll join a team of experts pushing the boundaries of AI, Data, Product and Platform Engineering, working alongside an international, multidisciplinary team – all from our offices in Leiria, Lisbon and Viseu (so far!)!
Your Tasks
At synvert, you'll be part of a cross-disciplinary team of software engineers, architects, data strategists, and cloud experts working on real client problems. As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you'll build across the stack alongside that team, contributing wherever the project most needs depth: frontend, backend, data, infrastructure.
AI-assisted workflows and modern AI tooling are part of how we work and how we deliver, and engaging with them is part of the role.
Concretely, you will:
- Design, build, and ship features across the stack as part of cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and the engineering practices that keep our work maintainable.
- Work alongside architects, data engineers, and cloud experts to deliver end-to-end solutions for our clients.
- Engage with the AI-assisted development workflows the team uses and contribute to how they evolve.
- Take ownership of well-scoped problems and drive them to clean, reliable solutions.
- Help raise the bar on quality, observability, and craft in whichever layer you're working in.
What do we expect from you?
Key Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, with a degree in software engineering or equivalent proven experience in the field.
- Strong fundamentals: data structures, system design, debugging, testing. You write code other engineers can read and maintain.
- Comfortable working across the stack. You may have a primary specialty, but you can move between frontend and backend (and into data or infra) when the work calls for it.
- Fast learner who picks up new tools, frameworks, and ways of working, including AI-assisted ones, when the team moves that way.
- Willingness to use AI-assisted tooling as part of your daily engineering practice.
- Comfortable communicating in English, written and spoken.
- Able to work outside your comfort zone and still get things done.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience developing solutions using GenAI, LLMs, or agentic architectures.
- Has experimented with AI-assisted SDLC practices, whether in code review, planning, documentation, or testing.
- Interest or experience in DevOps and Infrastructure (CI/CD pipelines, Docker/containers, cloud platforms).
- Contributions to open-source, side projects, or technical writing.
