Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods ( up to 6-8 hours per day) and lift up to 20 pounds comfortably and repeatedly. Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks associated with providing massage therapy, including applying pressure and maneuvering clients as needed.
Scheduling Requirements:
Skamania Lodge is unique in that you do not manage or pay for your own marketing, coordinators, housekeeping services, bookings, ordering, laundry, and facilities maintenance or provide your own linens, tables and tools! What we ask in return is that you work with our team to ensure that there is always a provider onsite.
- We pay a minimum base wage for all hours that you are asked to remain clocked-in during our business hours. This guest service option increases our ability to service our many last-minute walk-in appointments and for you to make even more money, through additional bookings, add-on services, assist guests and coordinators with product knowledge and sales, complete trainings, as well as other focused spa and lodge initiatives. You will rotate with other providers to equally manage this requirement.
- We are in compliance with all Washington State required wage and hour laws including required paid 10-minute breaks and 30-minute unpaid lunch periods. Individual providers may determine if they would like to waive or observe this lunch option to best accommodate their scheduled appointments or allow for additional walk-in appointments.
- During our high season from June-September we ask that our providers are available for consistent weekly hours. We do observe a “black-out” on vacation time during these busiest months, as well as busy winter holidays. At the same time, we strongly believe in the importance of self-care and rejuvenation for our regular full-time and part-time providers, and we encourage team members to take regular time off during other periods throughout the year.
