Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.Primary Responsibilities:Develop, perform, and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures for Home Health and HospiceDig deep into the details, understand the drivers behind financial outcomes, and articulate the story to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersDevelop and maintain financial reports for assigned functions to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budgetWork closely with the business to develop, recommend, and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficienciesPartner to complete all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and month-end processesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Economics2+ years of financial and / OR accounting experience2+ years of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis experience2+ years of Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)Financial modeling and financial statement analysis skillsExperience with owning / managing financial models and demonstrated process improvement experienceAbility to be highly analytical, detailed oriented, maintaining responsibility for precision and accuracyTeam player mentality with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of business backgrounds both written, and verballyCommunication and presentation skills - the ability to understand and present complex data easily to leadershipAbility to work any of our full time, shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pmPreferred Qualifications:Experience with planning tools desired (Essbase, Oracle EPM, Planful, and PeopleSoft Financials)Self-sufficiency, independent thinking, self-starter, ownership, and accountabilityAbility to work independentlyTelecommuting Requirements:Reside within commutable distance to the office at 901 Hugh Wallis Rd S, Lafayette, LA or 3854 American Way, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 or 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacyMust live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
