Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division is looking for a Market Access Manager-Gulf region based in UAE
As a Market Access Manager, you'll be responsible to secure market access and reimbursement for ADC products
Primary function-
One of the primary tasks of this position is to monitor and anticipate relevant reimbursement developments and to create action plans to address upcoming market access challenges.
Position will own the responsibility to achieve market access and reimbursement for new ADC products (formulary listening, coding, coverage & pricing.)
Position will establish and leverage critical relationships to key market access stakeholders, developing customer intimacy and aiming for mutually beneficially partnership opportunities.
Position reports to the Country Manager and will interact with the Business Unit Heads in the targeted countries for this position, the relevant team members in those countries and global market access team.
What you'll do-
Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.
Accelerate hospital enlisting after-market authorization.
Maintain active intelligence of pricing trends and reimbursement/funding in region in order to anticipate risks and opportunities for ADC portfolio.
There must be insight into payers' decision-making, the processes and criteria they use, and the skills to use these insights.
Building a strong partnership with KO Ls in the field of diabetes across gulf.
Support public affairs and reimbursement.
Establish and leverage critical relationships to key market access stakeholders, developing customer intimacy and aiming for mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.
Define strategic actions to the changing market environment finding innovative solutions to defending ADC's products in the market.
Support the Commercial Department in developing strategies to maximize inmarket performance.
Create a Payer Strategy and engagement covering market access and product differentiation.
Manage implementation of agreed payer strategies across ADC's portfolio through the team of ADC Commercial teams.
Identify opportunities to develop the usage and/or profile of products across the ADC portfolio.
Ensure most optimal pricing and reimbursement at national and local level by proactively maintaining and optimizing access.
Anticipate and influence contracting & Trending situations. Lead and coordinate with other functions.
Work closely with the Market Access Director and the ADC Management team to deliver and support all strategic goals.
Identify areas where the Mega opportunities for product growth lie.
Clarifies key stakeholders' product specific value propositions.
Match pricing target with key stakeholders' value propositions.
Required Qualifications
Required: Advanced Degree in Science, Economics or related areas.
Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Economics, or Health policy.
Background
Broad knowledge of the Countries' reimbursement systems.
Robust understanding of national reimbursement authorities including localized decisions and the ongoing changes that could affect the commercial goals.
Demonstrable track record in working with KOLs/reimbursement stakeholders in influencing product guidelines, removing barriers to ensure products are used in key centers.
Market Access experience preferably within Medical Devices/Pharma sector.
Tender Management experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and leverage knowledge internally across a matrix structure to optimize opportunities with customers and achieve shared goals.
Ability to influence internally at all levels without line management authority.
Ability to influence external customers at all levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
IT literate.
