We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Ecommerce Merchandising Team Lead to oversee the online merchandising function across our ecommerce site. This role is responsible for leading a team that manages product presentation, categorization, onsite merchandising, search optimization, and promotional execution to drive conversion, revenue, and customer engagement.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a customer-first mindset and has experience managing ecommerce merchandising operations in a fast-paced retail or digital environment.
What You'll Do;
Develop and execute ecommerce merchandising strategies that support sales, margin, and customer experience goals.
Oversee product categorization and sorting logic to ensure products are accurately organized and easily discoverable.
Optimize onsite merchandising including category pages, product rankings, featured collections, and promotional placements.
Continuously improve site search, filtering and navigation to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase conversion.
Plan and oversee promotional campaigns, seasonal launches, and product feature placements.
Maintain merchandising calendars and oversee homepage, landing page, and category page updates.
Monitor onsite performance metrics and recommend merchandising improvements based on data insights.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ecommerce merchandisers and coordinators.
Assign priorities, manage workflows, and ensure timely execution of merchandising initiatives.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
Prepare and deliver regular reporting on ecommerce merchandising performance, product performance, search trends, and conversion metrics.
Analyze KPIs including conversion rate, average order value, bounce rate, sell-through and revenue performance.
Use analytics tools to identify trends and merchandising opportunities.
Conduct A/B testing and recommend optimizations to improve user engagement and sales performance.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions and ecommerce growth initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with digital marketing, UX, merch, and operations teams to align business objectives.
Coordinate with vendors and brand partners on product launches, promotions, and merchandising assets.
Support ecommerce growth initiatives, platform enhancements, and customer experience improvements.
What You'll Bring;
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, or a related field.
3–5+ years of ecommerce merchandising experience, including team leadership responsibilities.
Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, CMS tools, site merchandising, and navigation best practices.
Experience managing product categorization, filtering, and onsite search optimization.
Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics similar platforms.
Strong reporting and data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ecommerce reporting tools.
Experience in retail, fashion, consumer goods, or direct-to-consumer ecommerce environments.
Familiarity with SEO, personalization, and onsite optimization tools.
Experience managing merchandising within Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or similar platforms.
