Job Description
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Cloud AI / Agentic AI Developer to join State Street’s AML Transformation Program. The candidate will work closely with technical and business teams based in Boston, using agile delivery methods to develop technology solutions for AML transaction monitoring and other compliance programs.

- Develop Agentic AI applications using Python and related programming languages.
- Design and implement AI and ML-based solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Take ownership of the full delivery lifecycle, from development through production rollout.
- Work effectively in a multi-location agile environment, collaborating closely with business and technology teams.
- Follow established application development, data engineering, performance, and security standards.

Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Approximately 3+ years of overall experience, including 2+ years of experience as a GenAI / Agentic AI Engineer using cloud technologies.
- AWS and/or Databricks certifications are a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work independently with minimal direction while also guiding and mentoring team members when needed.
- Research, learn, and apply new tools and techniques quickly, and recommend new ideas to improve performance.
- Evaluate the current application infrastructure and identify opportunities for modernization and optimization.
- Design and build secure, production-grade GenAI and Agentic AI applications.
- Develop reusable, efficient, scalable solutions and recommend cost-effective implementation strategies.
- Build AI pipelines and integrate with data platforms such as Databricks, while leveraging AWS services including S3, EC2, API Gateway, Bedrock, and Lambda.
- Work effectively under tight timelines when required.
Skill Sets Required
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong expertise in Python programming, with hands-on experience using GenAI and Agentic AI libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, Pydantic, Strands, and CrewAI.
- Familiarity with Databricks architecture and core concepts, as well as AWS services such as Bedrock, EC2, and PostgreSQL-based platforms.
- Proven experience building GenAI and Agentic AI applications using large language models (LLMs).
- Solid understanding of GenAI components such as RAG, vector databases, model selection, model evaluation, and guardrails.
- Good understanding of GenAI / Agentic AI architecture and best practices.
- Hands-on experience across areas such as database architecture, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and big data.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Databricks and Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based deployments.
- Experience in the financial services and compliance domain.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $118,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
