
Structural Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structural engineering solutions, managing projects, and contributing to high-quality technical outputs within a multidisciplinary consulting engineering environment.

Key roles and responsibilities:
Conducts major assignments in the Structural Engineering Field. Plans, organises, controls complex projects, and makes recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems. Prepares and presents technical reports.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
— Design and manage structural engineering projects in a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering environment;
— Responsible for analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures;
— Responsible for leading small design teams
— Produce quality work that conforms to our ISO quality standards.
— Monitor and manage the design teams to meet deadlines;
— Client and project team liaison
Health and Safety
— Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you
— Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
— Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
— Ideally 5 or more years’ experience mainly structural engineering with Pr Eng or eligible for registration;
— Civil engineering experience advantageous;
— Project Management experience advantageous
Key competencies and generic skills:
— Proven record of delivering in a deadline-oriented environment;
— Excellent interpersonal skills;
— Computer literate AutoCAD, Prokon, MS Office Suite, MS Projects essential;
— Ability to interact with the office team and construction team.
— Valid Driver’s License;
— Pride in work.
— Client focused
— Willing to travel
