Job Summary:**
The Back End Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery in the can manufacturing back-end process, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Operate and monitor various back-end machinery, including flangers, neckers, seamers, and packers.
* Perform routine checks and adjustments to equipment to maintain optimal operating conditions.
* Monitor production lines for defects, jams, or other anomalies, and take corrective action as needed.
* Conduct quality control inspections of finished cans, ensuring they meet specified standards.
* Load and unload materials and products onto and off production lines.
* Maintain accurate production records and log sheets.
* Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
* Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on machinery.
* Collaborate with other team members to optimize production flow and efficiency.
* Keep the work area clean and organized.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with machinery operation.
* Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
* Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
* Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
* Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 kg.
* Strong commitment to safety and quality.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
