Job Description

Houston, TX Job Id:  290 # of Openings:  1
Nailor Industries, Inc. is known for our industry leading customer focused approach to providing innovative commercial and industrial HVAC products. Nailor manufactures a unique and comprehensive line of products including Air Control & Distribution products, VAV Terminal Units, Green Building products, Fan Coil Units, Electric Duct Heaters, Sound Attenuators, Air Handling Units, and Filter Housings.

We are currently seeking a hands-on, results-driven Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Mesa facility, with support for additional Houston-area plants as needed.

This role owns end-to-end plant performance—including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost—and plays a critical role in translating business strategy into daily execution.

We’re looking for a leader who thrives on the floor, drives accountability, and builds high-performing teams through Lean manufacturing principles.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily production across fabrication, welding, assembly, and shipping
  • Own the production schedule, balancing demand, capacity, labor, and materials
  • Drive on-time delivery, productivity, and operational efficiency
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance
  • Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish and lead a Daily Management System (DMS) with KPI accountability
  • Improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance
  • Drive cost control and productivity improvements
  • Develop, coach, and grow supervisors and operations leaders
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Sales

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience leading multi-shift or complex operations (multi-site a plus)
  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to drive performance and cultural change
  • Experience in fabrication, welding, or assembly environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (preferred)

What Sets You Apart

  • You lead from the floor—not from behind a desk
  • You take ownership of results: safety, delivery, productivity, and cost
  • You bring solutions, not problems (root cause + action)
  • You develop strong teams and future leaders
  • You operate with urgency, discipline, and accountability

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with flexibility based on business needs
  • Requires visibility across day and night shifts
  • Occasional extended hours and weekend support during peak periods

Why Join Nailor?

  • Opportunity to lead and transform manufacturing operations
  • High-impact leadership role with visibility across the organization
  • Collaborative, performance-driven culture
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Equal Opportunity Employer

Note: This role requires a high level of ownership and leadership presence across all shifts and operations.
