Responsibilities
This position is responsible for ensuring that the preparation and presentation of meals and snacks to clients, families and guests meets Newport Healthcare’s standard of culinary
excellence.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure overall kitchen cleanliness including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floor, dishes after each meal and food prep per Department of Public Health Standards.
- Ensure the safety of clients with dietary restrictions and/or preferences.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of lunch, dinner, and snacks daily.
- Quality check all meals and snacks served during shift.
- Ensure recipes are produced accurately and efficiently.
- Resourcefully solve any culinary related issues that arise during shift, and/or follow proper chain of command.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Three – five years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in various kitchen settings required.
- State Food Safety Certification preferred.
Compensation for this role ranges from $21-$31 per hour depending on education and experience.
