Expected Activities

Expected Deliverables

Duration and Timing
We anticipate the assignment will take place remotely between June and October 2026 and may require
up to approximately 20-25 billable days. A detailed work plan with precise delivery dates will be
finalized upon contract signing, reflecting the approximate deliverable milestones below:
• July 2026 – Onboard, review research tools and 2024 data
• July 31, 2026 – Submit Methodology Note
• August 31, 2026 – For any countries that have submitted all data, compile and analyze data and
produce final internal summary documents; working draft of global findings
• September 2026 – Continue data analysis
• October 10, 2026 – Data analysis complete and raw coded datasets and codebooks submitted;
remaining internal summary documents (global and by country) and quote banks complete and
submitted

Description
Women for Women International (WfWI) invests in women and girl survivors of war and conflict to learn the skills they need to rebuild their families and communities. Our social empowerment programming focuses on strengthening confidence, leadership, social cohesion, and access to rights and services for women and adolescent girls affected by conflict, displacement, economic insecurity, and restrictive gender norms.
Women for Women International is seeking a specialist in data analysis and synthesis to:
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data collected from stakeholder surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Synthesize complex information into overarching themes, trends, and actionable insights.
- Draft clear and concise data summaries highlighting key findings, tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Expected Activities
• Support development of a detailed data collection plan and methodology for analysis based on
research tools that have been developed and deployed (there may be scope to inform the tools

• Coordinate with partners to address qualitative data that may be unclear in meaning due to either
transcription, translation, or contextualization.
• Analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data collected from 13 countries (following transcription and translation in-country), including:
- Quantitative data: Approximately 15 multiple-choice responses from approximately
- 1,300 surveys across 13 countries submitted via Kobo Toolbox.
- Qualitative data: Approximately 20-40 FGD or KII notes (about 4-5 pages each)
- Draw out key findings and recommendations from the updated data collected, informed by policy and landscape analyses prepared by WfWI team and a comparison to 2024 data, to identify key findings and trends organized by WPS pillar and by country.
- Produce a written internal summary of key global findings and recommendations from the data, as well as more detailed breakdowns filtered by country context and key theme.
Expected Deliverables
1. Methodology Note: A brief document (1-2 pages) outlining the analysis framework and data cleaning procedures used.

- Concise summary reports by country highlighting the main takeaways, backed by data.
- A global summary of key findings based on quantitative and qualitative data, highlighting
- overarching themes and trends.

Background and Objectives
This consultancy supports a new phase of work that builds on Women for Women International’s (WfWI) 2024 From Asking to Action global Women, Peace and Security (WPS) consultation, which engaged more than 6,500 women and 54 women’s rights organizations (WROs) across 14 conflict-affected countries. This assignment will help verify the 2024 findings and update them in light of changes in each country since the original consultation, ensuring the evidence remains current, credible, and grounded in lived experience. The updated findings will form the foundation for advocacy priority-setting and the co-creation of tailored advocacy roadmaps with more than 20 partner WROs across 13 conflict-affected countries, thereby supporting joint advocacy and coalition-building efforts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent specialized advanced university degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leading research, evaluation, or consultation processes, including data methodology and analysis, qualitative synthesis, and research reporting.
- Extensive experience creating data collection tools and conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Kobo Toolbox and Excel for quantitative survey data and other qualitative data analysis tools for focus group and interview data.
- Producing concise and accessible learning outputs for various policy and donor stakeholders across the security, diplomacy, and humanitarian sectors.
- Working with a high volume of sensitive data that contains mention of armed conflict and death, gender-based violence, human suffering, and human rights violations.
- Producing high-quality work while meeting clear deadlines, as confirmed by references.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and high-quality documents, as well as facilitate sessions online.
- Solid computer skills, including experience working with data analysis software, slide decks/visual presentation tools, Microsoft Word and Excel, and online video call platforms.
- Fluency in English.
Qualities:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Can juggle multiple projects and timelines effectively.
- Flexibility to work with information and iterative data inflow
- Respect for Confidentiality.
Preferred:
- Fluency in French or Arabic.
- Experience working with women’s rights organizations and in gender equality or women’s leadership programming.
The consultant will report directly to the Senior Global Policy and Advocacy Manager and work in close coordination with the Global Policy and Advocacy team
