Job Summary
The Engineering Technician  is responsible for implementing engineering best practices, utilizing various tools to implement, execute, or develop processes that ensure compliance with product specifications, maximizing resource efficiency and positively impacting operational indicators such as quality, service, and cost. This is done in accordance with customer requirements, ensuring at all times the achievement of benefits in safety, quality, cost, and delivery


Primary Responsibilities

•    Support operations to review cycle times and ensure achievement. 
•    Challenge the operation process to ensure quality and delivery
•    Knowledge of design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture manufacturing.
•    Knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
•    D. Reading GD&T drawings.
•    Knowledge of basic metrology equipment (vernier caliper, micrometer, height indicator).
•    Knowledge of production routing, material billing, and material flow.
•    Time and motion studies and knowledge of production line balancing.
•    Ability to develop and implement Poka-Yoke solutions.
•    Ability to implement and develop Standardized Processes.
•    Implementation of improvement measures on production lines for waste reduction (SCRAP).
•    Develop, modify, and implement work instructions for the production process according to customer specifications. 
•    Train and support the production lines.

Requisitos:

Basic Qualifications
•    Possess knowledge of metal mechanic processes for detail fabrication and assemblies (Machining, Welding, Sand Blasting, Assembly, Die Cast, Conventional Machining)
•    Capable to work under minimal supervision
•    Blueprint Reading
•    Self-directed / Ownership
•    Strong Ability to establish and documents robust processes
•    Ability to lead and participate on Lean Kaizen Projects/Events
•    people skills, engagement with direct reports, teamwork, and others

Education/Previous Experience Requirements 
•    A Bachelor’s Degree or in process from a college or University in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Technical Equivalent is desired
•    Experience: 1 – 2 years working on Metal Mechanic Processes
•    Medium Level of English.
•    Computer Usage: Advanced
