OSS Lead Engineer

• Lead the end-to-end strategy, development, implementation, and lifecycle management of OSS platforms and service assurance solutions to support operational excellence, network visibility, and digital transformation objectives.

• Drive successful delivery of OSS software development, Kubernetes and Microservice deployment and integration projects across multiple domains, cross domain integration using API-SDK, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, governance frameworks, and business requirements.

• Establish and continuously enhance ITIL-based operational processes covering incident, problem, change, service request, and configuration management to improve service reliability and operational efficiency.

• Lead the modernization of monitoring, observability, and analytics platforms by leveraging emerging technologies, automation, AI-driven insights, LLM bots for NOC operation and real-time dashboards to enable proactive service management.

• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and security of OSS applications and supporting infrastructure through effective capacity planning, platform optimization, and risk mitigation initiatives.

• Act as the organizational Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OSS platforms, driving best practices, technology standards, vendor governance, and strategic roadmap development aligned with business and technology priorities.

• Develop centralized service assurance capabilities through advanced monitoring, alarm management, ETL deployment and operation, Data mart management, KPI visualization, threshold-based notifications, LLM MCP and predictive analytics to accelerate fault detection and resolution.

• Collaborate closely with Technology, IT, Digital, Cyber Security, Network Operations, and Business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of OSS platforms across enterprise ecosystems and critical customer-facing services.

• Drive data integrity, reporting automation, regulatory compliance, and business intelligence initiatives by establishing robust reporting frameworks, automated workflows, and governance controls that support informed decision-making.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing OSS team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence to support future technology evolution and business growth.

Academic Qualification

• BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics or related fields

Job Experience Required

• 5-6 years of experience.

• Working experience in OSS tools and IT monitoring system like Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana etc with a proven track record of at least Telecom industry with 3-4 years.

• Proven track record as leading team with similar role in international or local large Telco / vendor / Corporate/ IT industry.

• Sound knowledge in OSS tools (OSS/Assurance, Telecom EMS, NMS & ITSM process) 

• Have sufficient experience in project management.

Required Capabilities

• Knowledge on IT & Telecom OSS, ESS and BSS architecture

• Development and Operation of IT/BSS and Network services real time KPI insights using BI Tools.

• Advanced knowledge of OSS (NOC/ITSM/EMS/Zabbix/Grafana etc.) software development and implementation 

• Knowledge of umbrella network management systems.

• Expertise with ITIL based processes for incident, work order, problem and change management.

• Thorough knowledge on Operating systems (Windows & Unix), Databases (SQL, Partition and retention, Indexing), BI tools, EMS/NMS systems, Open-source monitoring systems and Enterprise Network

• Experience in software development and scripting using python, shell/bash, Java and Project Management capabilities.

• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Be resilient and agile to ensure prompt project delivery within timelines.
