Job Description
This position will be responsible for procurement activities and ensure we are procuring time-to-market and economy of scale products and services required by the organization while being compliant with all regulatory and company standards
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives
Lead the procurement team in sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value for goods and services
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to optimize procurement processes without compromising quality or business satisfaction
Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) outcomes and delivery year-on-year productivity and efficiency, cost reduction and demand management through make or buy modeling, value engineering and digitalization or innovation
To liaise with Group Procurement team to maximize bargaining power and drive consistency
To support the implementation of Group agreements for local execution
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships and secure competitive pricing and preferred terms
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and excellence
Support and drive procurement transformation initiatives
Lead and execute Vendor Risk Framework and Solvency II for geopolitical, financial, climate, reputational, security and operational risks
Serve as the executive lead for supply crisis response, business continuity planning, and commodity volatility management
Sustainable and Inclusive Procurement: Embed the organization’s carbon-neutral and sustainability ambitions directly into the procurement strategy
Establish and monitor science-based supplier sustainability targets, decarbonization roadmaps, and responsible sourcing program
Support and establish traceable tracking to support the annual reporting complying with EU regulation
Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of procurement with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA or advanced degree in a procurement-related field (e.g., MCIPS, CIPS) is highly desirable
Deep experience, expertise and proven track record in procurement processes transformation and cost optimization
Working in insurance or financial industry is a plus
Experience in developing and executing category strategies
Proven track record of delivering category savings through sourcing, demand management, and policy compliance
Diplomatic, agile, resilience and excellent interpersonal skill – can work well with all levels of people
Ethical and strong integrity
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Strong influential skills and ability to manage complex business environment and issues
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Process Unity etc.), as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Skills: Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term procurement strategies
Experience with supplier relationship management and performance evaluation
Knowledge of risk management and compliance in procurement
Familiarity with sustainability practices and ethical sourcing in IT procurement
