Job Description
- Provide high levels of customer service to the guests
- Ensure each guest is equipped with the necessary equipment (properly fitting life vests/paddles/tubes) and information to navigate the river safely
- Inspect equipment daily for any damages; tag/label for removal and/or repair
- Load/unload equipment (boats, paddles, life vests) at the beginning, end, and during each shift.
- Check the next day’s reports and prepare equipment in advance as needed
- Speak and communicate clearly and eloquently with guests while commanding their attention for briefing safety speeches and important instructions
- Communicate with other departments to facilitate daily trip lists and reports
- Assist guests with launching and landing their vessels at the river’s edge
- Verify reservation information for each guest from boat slips and accurately document boat #’s and launch times
- Maintain River Base cleanliness and appearance by regularly picking up trash and keeping tools and equipment in their proper place
- Customer service experience preferred
- Boating knowledge & river experience helpful
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow instructions and be a part of a team
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
- Able to lift to 100lbs.
- Able to remain in a stationary position
- Regularly move from river base to river base
- Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
- Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry lift, etc.
- Constant outdoor exposure to elements and weather
Pay Range: $16 - $18 per hour
