Position Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, individualized care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy services for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and care team members
- Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
- Conduct staff training and in-service education
- Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) and assist with restorative program training as needed
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in South Carolina (required)
- Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board
- Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for improving resident quality of life
