Position Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, individualized care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy services for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and care team members
  • Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
  • Conduct staff training and in-service education
  • Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) and assist with restorative program training as needed

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in South Carolina (required)
  • Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for improving resident quality of life
