The Behavioral Health Assistant, under the supervision of professional nursing personnel, assists and provides patient care utilizing standards of care. Ability to de-escalate crisis situations, maintain the milieu with a calm and professional approach. Provide redirection, utilize de-escalation techniques. Ability to conduct group activities with patients.
QUALIFICIATIONS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent required
-Ability to de-escalate crisis situations; Ability to work with culturally-diverse families and communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Ability to maintain the milieu with a calm and professional approach, provide redirection, utilize de-escalation techniques along with separation. Works well under pressure and consistently demonstrate a pleasant and professional demeanor. Ability to conduct group activities with patients Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification and Comprehensive Crisis Management certification within 6 months of start date in department/position
-Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred
