Supplier Quality Engineer
Millennium Print Group (MPG) is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Raleigh, NC
Schedule: Full-time, Onsite

What You Will Do:
Supplier Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality requirements, specifications, and inspection protocols.
- Lead supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with ISO/QMS and customer-specific requirements.
- Qualify new suppliers and manage supplier onboarding from a quality perspective.
- Own the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process—initiate, track, and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain chain-of-custody programs for controlled materials and traceability.
Technical Problem-Solving & Root Cause Analysis
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier-related quality issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve recurring quality problems and prevent production disruptions.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) to drive sustainable solutions.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI), Control Plan development, and Gauge R&R studies for supplier components.
Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Track and report supplier performance using SPC, trend analysis, and quality metrics.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visual KPIs to communicate supplier quality performance to stakeholders.
- Analyze incoming inspection data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of an overall supplier quality index to inform sourcing and business decisions.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supplier quality processes using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Partner with procurement, engineering, operations, and IT to align supplier quality goals with business objectives.
- Support automation and technology integration (e.g., vision systems, barcode scanning) to enhance inspection accuracy and traceability.
- Participate in CapEx projects related to supplier quality automation and process optimization.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure supplier documentation and quality records meet internal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain inspection records, sampling plans, and quality trend visibility.
- Support internal and external audits as they relate to supplier quality.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in quality, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, or equivalent).
- Experience with supplier audits, SCAR management, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in SPC, Gauge R&R, Control Plans, and First Article Inspection processes.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) preferred.
- Experience with automation technologies and inspection systems (vision systems, laser measurement, barcode scanning) preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills preferred.
