We鈥檙e looking for a caring and experienced Cook to assist in the overall management of the day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen through the conscientious application of Inspire Early Education standards to achieve our mission statement.

What You鈥檒l Do:
- Responsible for cooking, baking, and food preparation
- Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.
- Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
- Maintain children鈥檚 allergy list regularly.
- Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies, and replenishing dishware and cookware
- Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventory
- Complies with all health regulations and the company鈥檚 best practices
- Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
- Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips, school-age programs, and community events.
- Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time to meet the needs of the daycare centers.
Who You Are
Required:
- Current Food Handler Certification
- 2 years of cooking and/or kitchen-related experience
- Valid driver's license and a clean driver鈥檚 abstract.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Clean criminal record check
Preferred
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
- Ability to push, pull and lift to 45 pounds
