In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI, and set you up for long-term career success. The Mechanical Project Engineer will execute mechanical scope for semiconductor facilities projects, with a primary focus on tool hookup and submain installation required to support Manufacturing Equipment Installation and Manufacturing Equipment Related Facilities Equipment installation tool install readiness. This role is responsible for driving safe, on-time, and high-quality execution of utility infrastructure, including CDA, PVAC, H2N2, Exhaust, DIW, ATRO, and Drain systems, so projects are ready for semiconductor tool installation, factory ramp, and operational startup. This role will also be overseeing schedule and driving completion of new infrastructure installation

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive and coordinate mechanical execution for tool hookup and submain installation projects supporting Manufacturing Equipment Installation and Manufacturing Equipment Related Facilities Equipment installation scope
  • Ensure CDA, PVAC, H2N2, Exhaust, DIW, ATRO, Drain, and related utility systems are installed, tested, and ready to support tool installation and startup requirements
  • Review mechanical drawings, utility routing plans, P&IDs, technical submittals, and installation packages to confirm execution readiness
  • Coordinate with facilities, project teams, contractors, vendors, and engineers to align utility delivery with tool installation schedules
  • Track project progress, milestones, execution risks, and field issues, escalating concerns early when needed
  • Troubleshoot installation and commissioning issues related to utility systems and mechanical infrastructure
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, regulatory, site, and engineering standards
  • Drive strong documentation quality, including test packs, commissioning records, redlines, as-builts, and turnover packages
  • Support efficient handover of completed mechanical utility scope to downstream installation and operations teams
  • Communicate status, risks, constraints, and support needs clearly to stakeholders across the project team
  • Teaming with other engineering disciplines, management, internal customers, and suppliers to ensure projects and systems are cost effective, within budget, meet the desired design criteria and schedule guidelines
  • Providing capacity/demand analysis of utility systems and planning to support growth when required
  • Provide Facilities mechanical system engineering leadership to the site organizations in support of safety, reliability, quality, environmental and cost objectives
  • Work Permit approvals 
  • Generate SOW for system enhancement and improvements
  • Permitting and Building Code compliance 
  • Develop and implement programs targeted to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness of mechanical systems. Plan, develop and implement projects that are required for improvement, growth or rearrangement of existing systems
  • Effectively manage specific measurable utility system deliverables including points of delivery, utility parameters, specification limits and notification methods
  • Identify systems requiring operating procedures and assist operations team in SOP and training development. 
  • Work to integrate reliability focus and risk analysis into Systems Engineering job scope. This includes FMEAs, root cause analysis, cause mapping, design, commissioning and training.

Success Measures

  • Tool hookup and submain utility scope delivered safely and on time
  • CDA, PVAC, H2N2, Exhaust, DIW, ATRO, and Drain systems ready to support tool installation and startup
  • Risks, blockers, and field issues identified early and resolved quickly
  • High-quality documentation and smooth turnover to downstream teams
  • Strong coordination across internal teams, contractors, and vendors

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fields, fresh graduates with 0 -2 years experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, or large-scale industrial facilities will be an advantage
• Experience supporting tool install readiness, utility infrastructure delivery, or factory expansion projects
• Familiarity with semiconductor utility systems such as CDA, PVAC, H2N2, Exhaust, DIW, ATRO, and Drain
• Familiarity with turnover, construction documentation, and commissioning records
• Experience balancing schedule, cost, quality, and safety in a fast-paced project environment
• Demonstrated leadership and build strong, influential relationships.
• Possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving and project management skills.
