Job Description

The candidate is expected to conduct research on topics at the interface of quantum information and machine-learning. The overall aim has been to improve the current state-of-the-art techniques of understanding how quantum information processing can enhance our ability to understand and process information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Publish papers in areas related to quantum information and machine learning

  • Aid in supervision of FYP and PhD students on topics of quantum information and machine learning

Keys areas of research include:

  • Quantum Channels

  • Distributed Quantum Computation

  • Black-box Quantum Computation

  • Quantum Correlations and Resources

  • Quantum Benchmarking

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in theoretical quantum information or related field.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate technique ideas to interdisciplinary scientific audiences.

  • Previous experience in quantum communication channels (not compulsory but good to have)

  • Previous experience in quantum resource theories (e.g., coherence) (not compulsory but good to have)

  • Previous experience in quantum machine learning. (not compulsory but good to have)

  • Previous experience in quantum programming (not compulsory but good to have)
