Our Agency's Mission is to provide the right service for the right person, at the right time. Claratel Behavioral Health is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).   Position:  Full time on-site opportunity in outpatient behavioral health setting. Primary location will be our Winn Way clinic; however, this role may provide services and support across all OP clinics in DeKalb County.   Duties & Responsibilities: The selected Psychiatrist will join an excellent team of clinical and medical staff. As an important member of this multi-disciplinary team, completes psychiatric diagnostic assessments and follow ups and makes recommendations for treatment within an evidence-based framework. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment in assessment, application of diagnostic criteria, clinical formulations, and sound triage decisions. Provides consultation regarding client care to clinical staff. Actively contributes to the treatment center and organization through on-going collaborative efforts.  This position serves Adults only. The provider may provide services for all outpatient clinics as needed but can identify the Winn Way Clinic as the primary site. May serve clients who are part of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program. Provides administrative support to agency in medical matters in the absence of the Medical Director.  May serve as the delegating or designated physician and provide medical supervision to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Georgia Composite Medical Board and applicable Georgia Board of Nursing guidelines.      Minimum Training & Experience: Adult Psychiatrist. GA State Medical License and DEA. Sessions may be in person or via telehealth (audio/visual) as appropriate for each client. May be required to physically assist clients, may need to carry objects up to 10 pounds. May be required to travel between clinics. Critical thinking, exemplary interpersonal skills, and a consistent, contributing demeanor is required. Must have computer skills with ability to use an electronic health record and other applications efficiently. Ability to work from a person-centered, recovery oriented, and trauma informed philosophy in client care.     Pre-employment drug screening may be required.
