Practitioners of the Test Automation Developer focuses primarily on providing high quality, cost-effective automated test functionality for use by IT areas to validate the quality of new and existing software applications by modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built testing frameworks. In this capacity, Test Automation Developers analyze, design, configure, code, test, debug, document and maintain automated testing utilities, programs, scripts, and frameworks.

Experience aligning appropriate automated testing solutions to most effectively and efficiently evaluate the acceptance criteria.
Test or development leadership experience
Project management experience
Thorough understanding of systems and data processing policies, practices and procedures
Thorough understanding in systems analysis and design techniques
Expert knowledge of the systems development life cycle
Understanding of project management concepts and techniques
Demonstrated ability to analyze and program the most complex applications and systems solutions
Thorough understanding of test data management and test data profiling
Demonstrated ability to implement automation solutions throughout the testing lifecycle

Top-level technical expert in one or more highly specialized phases of applications programming. Provides technical consulting on complex projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications programming.
