Process Operator - Level 2
Penang, Malaysia
As a Process Operator - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will lead a team, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth engineering processes for our MSC business unit. Your skills will drive project success and business growth. You will also perform daily Membrane Production and Element Assemblies operations, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Membrane Production and Element Assemblies operations to meet the defined specifications and quality standard.
- Periodically taking data for each process equipment and proper filling all the data recorded.
- Take samples of the casting solution and membranes for each batch of production for lab tests.
- Perform daily checking and update Lead manufacturing technician / engineer on the status of process equipment, materials or inventory, safety, quality issues at respective or designated areas.
- Monitor the consumables material level and inform Lead manufacturing technician / engineer to place order when hit min. level.
- Meeting production target sets and products are produced at the right quality level (as per the actual Unit Per Hour (UPH) rate) at assigned process steps.
- Update the daily shift tracker on the Tier 1 Accountability Meeting Board and electronic files deliverables to Senior Chemical Process Engineer about the shift operations.
- Carrying out the day-to-day production operation of the company and follow instruction task assigned by shift leads / supervisor.
- Under moderate supervision, duties are assigned with oral and occasionally written instructions to methods and procedures to be followed.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Certificate or diploma in mechanical / process engineering (SPM)
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in chemical manufacturing environment
- Experience in Chemical Process Operation.
- Basic experience of PLC / DCS used for process and instrumentation control.
- Able to work in a chemical manufacturing process environment under cross-functional job rotations.
- Able to do data taking and sampling of process operation.
