Porter Manager
SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating and controlling all area of porter services. Supervises personnel in Porter Department. Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all area of the Casino public and office areas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising all phases of the Porter Department.
- Adheres to the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
- Supervises porter personnel. Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and discipline porter staff.
- Suggests procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
- Assists with the investigation and resolution of employee and guest concerns.
- Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participates in departmental brainstorming sessions.
- Completes Human Resources paperwork timely and accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills. Position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This is normally acquired through a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of administrative experience.
- Must have proven ability to manage multiple priorities and inspire and elevate an individual or a team's performance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require evening, early morning, and week end schedules.
