The data engineering team is community of dedicated professionals committed to designing, building, and maintaining data platform solutions for the organization.
Impact
Enterprise-wide data modeling initiatives, developing data architecture strategies, and driving innovation in data modeling practices. This role serves as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to cross-functional teams, junior team members, and influencing data-related decisions at the organizational level.
Key Deliverables
Enterprise Data Modeling Strategy - Develop and implement enterprise-wide
data modeling strategies. Lead the design of complex, cross-functional data
models. Drive the adoption of advanced modeling techniques (e.g., Data Vault 2.0). Align data modeling practices with business goals and technology roadmaps.
Data Architecture Leadership - Provide thought leadership in data architecture and modeling. Collaborate with enterprise architects to define data architecture principles. Lead the evaluation and implementation of emerging data technologies. Develop strategies for integrating diverse data sources and platforms
Data Governance and Standardization - Define and enforce enterprise-wide data modeling standards. Lead data governance initiatives related to data
modeling and metadata management. Develop strategies for maintaining
data quality across the organization. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy laws
Mentorship and Knowledge Leadership - Mentor data modeling teams and
develop talent within the organization. Lead advanced training sessions and
workshops on data modeling best practices. Represent the organization at
industry conferences and forums. Contribute to the data modeling community through publications or speaking engagements
Stakeholder Management and Consulting - Advise senior leadership on data
modeling strategies and their business impact. Collaborate with business
units to align data models with strategic initiatives. Provide expert consultation on complex data modeling challenges. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
