About the Job
The DC1 Vendor Receiving Supervisor will have responsibility for all activities from scheduling and executing receipts following CTPAT regulations, insuring receipts are as expected from vendor, reporting any issues found, processing product using our standard operating procedures through the department and leading the team of employees.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
The responsibilities of the DC1 Vendor Receiving Supervisor include but not limited to:
·        Schedule inbound receipts.
·        Insure CTPAT regulations are followed. Any issues found need to be communicated.
·        Properly log status on inbound containers until they have left the yard.
·        Load and unload merchandise from inbound trailers and containers.
·        Report any damaged to product found in unloading process to Merchants.
·        Develop a daily plan around unit goals and labor /staffing requirements.
·        Communicate all corporate messages and announcements to staff in morning huddles.
·        Assign work. When assigning work, ensure any priorities are given proper attention.
·        Make sure product is received and disposition accurately, sent to its correct destination within expected timeframe.
·        Attend daily operational meeting held by Management to ensure daily plans can be met and product flow through other departments are coordinated. Coordinate tasks that cross departments as required.
·        Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
·        Responsible for ensuring employees are performing at expected rates. Work with employees as needed to ensure performance standards are achieved.
·        Using the MOS System monitor employee performance daily. As needed perform new time studies and adjust rates as needed.
·        Cross train employees in all departments to help as volume demand dictates.
·        Perform payroll and employee attendance tracking weekly.
·        Council and discipline employees as needed.
·        Ensuring inventory accuracy is a priority.
·        Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training new employees.
·        Enforce company rules and regulation as well as rules specific to the union contract. Both in your department and throughout the DC.
·        Develop, maintain and enforce standard operating procedures on all tasks executed within vendor receiving department.
·        Develop the Floor Lead to run department during any missed time.
·        Execute Vendor Charge Backs based on issues found in processing of product.
·        Communicate effectively to all company departments that interact with vendor receiving. Some are Procurement, Transportation, Merchants, Planning and Allocation.
·        Ensure any Value-Added Services such as re-ticketing, price changes, etc. are done prior to product leaving department.
·        Look for ways for continuous improvement.
·        Promote a clean and safe work environment. Work on safety tasks as assigned.
·        Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
 
Skills & Experience
·        High School Diploma required.
·        College a plus but not required.
·        Prior leadership experience of a minimum of 2 years with proven success.
·        Ability to work and motivate your employee team.
·        Ability to meet deadlines/productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.
·        Good attendance/punctuality record; consistently at work and on time.
·        Ability to learn new skills and follow directions.
·        Good math, counting, and problem-solving skills.
·        Customer Service oriented.
·        Good verbal and written communication skills.
·        Good organizational and time management skills.
·        Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
·        Must have excellent attention to detail while maintaining accuracy.
·        Must always maintain a professional and positive attitude with the highest level of customer service.
·        Individuals must be safety conscious.
·        Working knowledge in the use of warehouse technology including radio-frequency (RF) scanners to perform daily functions is a plus.
·        Previous warehouse/distribution/production experience helpful.
·        Basic knowledge of computer PC skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.
·        Ability to work in a warehouse environment setting with physical demands that include continuous standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more.
·        Ability to use handling equipment and machinery including sorter systems, conveyors, RF guns, metal hooks, plastic bags, plastic packaging, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of our merchandise.
·        Dependable team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done and flexible in scheduling is required based on business needs (i.e.; increased hours, weekends, holidays, and volume of work, staffing shortages, etc.).

·        Reports to Vendor Receiving Management Department
 
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods through the day. The employee may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required.

Pay 
The starting salary for this position is $54,600–$72,748. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $90,896. Other compensation may include a [10%] Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
