Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.

Perform job in compliance with Greene, Tweed & Co. Quality Policy (ie.AS 9100, AS 9001, NadCap).

Perform all pre-molding operations (material prep) and run all pre-molding equipment within the department as required.

Perform all mold prepping, molding and press operations within the department as required. Acknowledge and troubleshoot press alarms and molding problems, initiate corrective action as required.

Degate/waterjet, finish and visually inspect parts as necessary to ensure highest quality product on all equipment within the department.

Perform all inspection requirements including the use of contact/non-contact measuring systems (CMM, OGP, etc.) and or other measuring devices.

Perform all non-destructive testing as required.

Perform all post molding, assembly operations and component installation

Follow all SPC, process and assembly procedures.

Must be able to read and follow detailed part/assembly drawings.

Perform all warehouse functions within the department for finished part receipts, finished part issues, kitting and final packing as per customer requirements. Excludes receiving and shipping functions

Ability to meet or exceed all quality and production standards.

Cleanliness - maintain facility housekeeping, clean machines and work area.

Perform all TPM’s schedules for all equipment within the department.

Record all Information on GT data collection system as required.

Load and unload fixtures in the department as required.

Maintain annual quality certification and assure parts meet quality standards.

Meet or exceed established production targets including productivity, quality, and safety

Measure and verify parts using appropriate equipment to ensure conformance to product specification requirements

Demonstrate working knowledge of GD&T and apply drawing tolerances to inspection and production decisions


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform miscellaneous duties in the department as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with other team members, internal/external auditors, support functions and customers when required.

Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, Company documents and other specified requirements essential for performing standard job functions

Mechanical aptitude/background, formal or informal (automotive, construction, HVAC, or maintenance) with proven ability to safely operate common hand tools and precision measuring equipment (e.g., sockets/ratchets, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, calipers, micrometers).

Strong working knowledge of mechanical and inspection tools (e.g. impact guns, torch wrenches, pry bars)

Must be able to analyze charts/graphs and quantitative data, interpret results, and make informed decisions based on findings.

Review graphical/inspection data and take appropriate action to meet inspection tolerance requirements.

Self-directed, independent worker with strong organizational skills, manages time effectively while handling multiple tasks and priorities

Ability to pass a verbal and written skills assessment. Must obtain an 80% or higher on written assessment. This assessment covers the key skills required for this position, including computer proficiency, data interpretation, standard tool usage, and basic molding concepts. It is designed to evaluate readiness, measure training retention, and identify potential training needs.

Applicants must be in good standing under the Company’s work rule policy at the time of application.

Demonstrated ability to safely use and apply common mechanical and inspection tools in a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and safety shoes

Must be able to use air/impact type tools & associated hex bits/adapters

Must be able to safely and properly use standard hand tools listed below

Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds

Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to stand for extended periods

Must be able to occasionally work in positions requiring twisting, stooping, and grasping
