POSITION SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Research Associate provides operational support to the laboratory. The Research Associate will perform research experiments as defined by the PI.   The McCormick Laboratory in the Department of Microbiology at the UMass Chan Medical School studies the molecular interactions between microbes and the intestinal host that shape gastrointestinal health and disease. Our research focuses on how enteric pathogens and commensal microbes influence intestinal physiology, inflammation, and host defense mechanisms.
