The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources department including employee transactions, administrating pay, benefits and leave administration and enforcing policies and practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilitie

Manages onboarding process to include delivery of onboarding materials to candidates, background checks, I-9 verification, coordination with quality, company notifications, and notification of employment to state.

Manages HRIS system. HR systems administration of Paycom and benefit provider sites. Documents and processes employee title/pay/benefits additions and changes. Manage employees on leave.

Remove terminated access to all systems, email, and notify benefit providers. Obtain computer property, badges, and keys. Complete GA DOL termination form. Mail all required communications and agreements/letters to terminated employee.

Works with Finance to administer Payroll. Timecard administration and follow up with managers regarding discrepancies. Referral bonus management.

Prepare monthly and quarterly hires/termination and headcount turnover reports by department. Maintain (at least bi-weekly) the organization charts to be used as needed. Assist with annual workers compensation audits.

Maintain organized files with required information.

Develop and maintain documentation of HR processes, checklists and calendars.

Attends and participates in employe disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Lead employee appreciation and wellness event planning

Answer employees’ questions regarding benefits and Vero ways of working. Complete employment verifications and unemployment inquires.

Conduct annual benefits open enrollment sessions. Research and ensure Equal Opportunity and Compliance (EOC) and workers compensation codes are appropriately reflected for each employee.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
-
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. This includes having the ability to influence management when appropriate.

Understands the organizations value proposition and can articulate fundamentals of business and how the units tie together.
-
Experience in HR concentration areas such as benefits; compensation; workforce planning and employment; employee relations; employee development; and training.

Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
