General Laborer will support all aspects of the cabinet manufacturing process including material handling, sanding, finishing and shipping. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the production of cabinet components according to specifications.
Handle, move, and prepare raw materials and finished products for production stages.
Operate basic woodworking machinery and power tools such as sanders, clamps and saws (training provided as needed).
Perform sanding, finishing, packaging, and inspection tasks to prepare cabinets for shipment.
Report any issues with materials, tools, or production processes to the supervisor.
Support team members in various tasks to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and 6S environment.
Follow all company safety policies and required PPE guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, communicate in English, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow instructions.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Work in production areas with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and ergonomic stressors while wearing required personal protective equipment.
Perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive motion in a manufacturing environment.
Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and greater weights with assistance as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Prior experience in manufacturing or carpentry, especially within cabinet or wood product fabrication.
Familiarity with woodworking machinery such as table saws, routers, or CNC machines.
Experience in a lean manufacturing or 6S environment.
