Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Oversee the 24/7 operation of the BTG (Boiler, Turbine, and Generator) island and auxiliary systems (WTP/WWTP).
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor shift supervisors, operators, and technicians to ensure high performance and strict adherence to SOPs.
Maintenance Planning: Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime (MTTR/MTBF).
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and government regulations regarding emissions and labor safety.
Performance Monitoring: Track key plant metrics such as Heat Rate, Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC), and overall plant efficiency.
Budget Management: Manage the operational budget, including spare parts inventory and fuel consumption costs.
Mandatory Requirements:
Experience: Min 15 years of experience handling High Pressure Coal Boiler(s), combined with steam turbine(s) for the power generation .
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of high-pressure boilers (Coal), steam turbines, and water treatment chemistry.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, proficiency in DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and excellent leadership communication.
Work Conditions:
Site-Based: Usually requires living near the plant (e.g., Dumai) for rapid emergency response.
Availability: Must be able to manage a shift-based workforce and be "on-call" for critical system failures.
