This is an amazing opportunity for a Compliance Associate to join the Regional Compliance Team at BCG, working with the NAMR Regional compliance team.

The NAMR Regional compliance function forms part of BCG’s Risk Management and Global Compliance team. The Global Compliance team provides steering and oversight on critical compliance topics that anchor how we all support each other, our clients, and run our business – with policies, processes, and systems which we continuously improve. The team develops and implement smart capabilities, toolkits, frameworks, and trainings, to empower BCG staff to act in accordance with our Values and Code of Conduct, and to promote adherence to laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.

This is an entry-level 8-month contractor role that will involve providing support in compliance advisory, training, communications, reporting, and procedural tasks relating to the NAMR regional offices throughout BCG, with a focus on the client and project acceptance processes. The role will work proactively on a variety of compliance tasks and projects to support successful compliance outcomes and efficiencies, working broadly across topics such as, but not limited to, the clients and topics we take on, bribery and corruption, insider trading, conflicts of interest, third party risk and information management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Supports Senior Management and the System Commercial Advisory process through the evaluation of complex clients and/or topics, and collaborates with the legal team to escalate to senior leadership.
  • Supports the Regional Compliance team in delivering compliance programs and initiatives across NAMR.
  • Assists with day-to-day compliance activities, including coordinating training rollouts, preparing meeting materials, drafting communications and presentations, and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Conducts preliminary reviews and research relating to client and project acceptance processes and other compliance matters, escalating questions and higher-risk issues as appropriate.
  • Assists in monitoring the implementation of compliance-related policies, processes, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Compiles and maintains compliance reporting, metrics, and dashboards for regional leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Supports compliance communications and awareness initiatives across the region.
  • Collects, organizes, and analyzes compliance-related information from business stakeholders and Global Compliance teams to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Performs data validation, quality assurance, and integrity checks on compliance datasets.
  • Supports special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance processes, tools, and efficiencies.

YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Experience working in a professional services, legal, compliance, risk management, or other corporate environment preferred.
  • Confidence working with a variety of stakeholders across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrable ability to operate with little oversight
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and balance competing, time-urgent demands
  • Strong attention to details
  • Outstanding English written and oral communication skills, including clear and concise writing and editorial skills and excellent listening skills. Additional languages desirable


  • An academic degree in a relevant discipline. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-year relevant experience in BCG global services. Alternatively, 2-3 years’ experience in a compliance function/ or other risk management discipline such as audit, fraud examination, quality control, risk analysis within a financial/ banking institution, professional services, or consulting firm or international business (aerospace, transport, construction, pharmaceutical, healthcare etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn and develop expertise in compliance and risk management topics.
  • Comfortable with, and preferably advanced knowledge of, Microsoft Office (Power point, Excel, Word), Trello, exposure to business intelligence tools: Tableau, Power BI
  • Commitment to confidentiality required


You will be part of the NAMR Regional Compliance Team reporting to one of the members of the NAMR Regional Compliance Team. This team operates within BCG's broader network of regional and global compliance professionals and collaborates closely with colleagues across Risk Management and Global Compliance.

In this role, you will work regularly with stakeholders across the business, including Managing Directors and Partners, Regional and System Risk & Compliance teams, Legal, Finance, and other functional groups. You will support compliance initiatives and projects while building relationships across BCG's global organization.

In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.

 

The hourly rate for this role is $22.00 -$24.00 per hour; placement will vary based on experience, skill set, and location. 

 

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
