Job Description
At Qualitrol in Fairport, NY, the Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production while meeting quality standards and production targets
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Production Activities: Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality specifications
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate production workers; foster a positive, productive work environment
- Quality Control: Monitor processes to meet quality standards; implement corrective actions when needed
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide safety training
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency gains, reduce waste, and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events)
- Inventory Management: Track raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with procurement for timely material availability
- Reporting: Maintain production data records; prepare and submit reports to the Plant Manager
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize disruptions
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between management and production staff, ensuring clear communication of goals, changes, and updates
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with manufacturing software/tools
- Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Context
- Shift: A Shift (Team hours 7 AM - 3:30 PM)
- Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing plant with a culture of continuous improvement, autonomy, and collaboration
