Job Description
M Health Fairview is looking for a Housekeeping Aide at Woodwinds Health Campus! This position is 80 hours per two week pay period on the Day Shift. and it is benefit eligible!
This Campus opened its 86-bed hospital in August 2000. Located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands in Woodbury, MN, it’s the only hospital in the southeast metro area. Woodwinds provides convenient, comprehensive and quality health care for the community. You’ll find the services you need all in one location. Houskeeping Aide will provide patients, visitors and staff our hospital with a clean and safe environment.
Typical work schedule:
WEEK 1
Mon: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Wed: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Thurs: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Fri: 6:00am - 2:30pm
WEEK 2
Mon: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Tue: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Wed: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Thurs: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Works every other weekend:
Sat: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Sun: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Performs cleaning assignments per department procedures and protocols
- Uses proper chemical dilution rations
- Follows infection control practices and procedures
- Follows proper procedure for assigned area
- Completes assignments in a timely manner
- Uses proper equipment and supplies for task
- Replenishes supplies
- Properly handles soiled and clean linens in assigned areas
- Properly handles and disposes of biohazardous and non-biohazardous waste
- Uses good body mechanics
- Uses safe work practices i.e. floor signs, use of gloves, follow hazard signs/symbols
- Remains flexible to change assignments as needed
- Contributes process improvement ideas/suggestions
- Properly documents work assignments
Demonstrates proper emergency and security response
- Takes immediate action as required to assist with emergency codes
- Unlocks and secures access to building as directed
- Cleans emergency spills as needed
Demonstrates proper use and care of equipment
- Uses proper equipment for assignment/task
- Properly cares for equipment and acts for preventive maintenance
- Reports malfunctioning equipment
- Uses safety precautions
Customer Service
- Uses appropriate verbal and nonverbal greetings
- Demonstrates a willing and helpful attitude
- Demonstrates respect for customer’s need for privacy
- Performs activities in a respectful, courteous, and responsive manner
- Transports furniture and equipment as requested
- Reports mechanical failures or negative conditions to appropriate supervisor
Interpersonal Relations with Healthcare Team
- Offers and values constructive criticism
- Resolves issues in a respectful manner
- Uses first party communication
- Demonstrates respect for other
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous Housekeeping/Environmental Service experience or previous experience in a similar role
