Fastned is a European fast-charging company building and operating a network of fast-charging stations across Europe. We are on a mission to give freedom to electric drivers and accelerate the transition to electric mobility. Fastned is funded primarily through a retail bond programme, a model that is unique in the European fast-charging space and that has allowed us to build a deep, loyal community of individual investors, particularly in the Netherlands. We are now at an important inflection point: Belgium is a proven growth market for our bonds, with a large and structurally favourable retail investor culture, and we believe the opportunity there is significantly underpenetrated. This role is the key to unlocking it.

The Role

We are looking for a commercially-driven, senior Investor Relations professional to join Fastned as an independent contractor and be our first dedicated bond sales representative in Belgium. This is a pure relationship and investor development engagement — you will be the face of Fastned's bond programme in the Belgian market, responsible for growing our Belgian investor base, deepening relationships with existing bondholders, and kicking off the groundwork for partnerships. This results-oriented assignment requires someone with deep personal networks in the Belgian investment community, the patience to build trust over the long term, and the drive to meet ambitious fundraising targets.

This engagement is offered on a freelance basis. Compensation is structured as a day rate and discussed based on experience and market benchmarks, with a performance-related component reflecting fundraising results.

What You Will Do

Investor Relations
You are the primary relationship holder for Fastned's Belgian investors. You actively manage existing and new bondholders especially during bond rounds but also in between where assistance is needed.

Investor Network Development
You proactively expand Fastned's Belgian investor base, drawing on your existing personal network and identifying new prospects, including family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and professional investor communities. You bring new names into the funnel and convert them over time into committed, repeat investors.

Market Intelligence & Local Presence
You are embedded in the Belgian market and share what you see and hear with the central team. You attend relevant investor events and financial community gatherings, and you feed local intelligence into marketing and product decisions. Day-to-day marketing execution is led by the Belgian marketing team; your role is to provide ground-level insight and investor-facing input.

Who We Are Looking For

Background & Experience

  • Seasoned independent professional with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in private banking, wealth management, or a comparable client-facing financial services role.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and deliver results from day one, without the need for onboarding ramp-up time.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively leverage an extensive, high-quality network across the Belgian investor landscape, including connections with HNWIs, family offices, or professional investor groups.

  • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment; understanding of the rules around investment advice and investor communication.

  • A commitment to fostering continuous client engagement, ensuring comprehensive and responsive support across all investor needs and inquiries.

  • Experience in supporting the preparation phase of external funding rounds, including contributions to financial budgeting, development of marketing material, documentation, and management of key partner relationships.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering substantial fundraising results and maintaining momentum during intense, recurring issuance or fundraising cycles.

  • Proven ability to quickly assimilate and translate complex company financials, the core business case, and the investor story into coherent communication.

  • Multilingual: native language skills in Dutch and fluent English are required; Fluent French would be a great advantage and German is a bonus.
