Medical Billing Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and support the daily activities of the billing and accounts receivable team

- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims and follow-up on unpaid or denied claims

- Monitor billing performance metrics and implement process improvements

- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and productivity

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues and optimize revenue cycle processes

- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and payer requirements

- Assist in resolving complex billing issues and escalate as necessary

- Contribute to the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable

- FQHC and/or ECW required

- Medicare UB strongly preferred

- Leadership experience preferred but not required

- Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations and payer requirements

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to lead a team effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance

- This position is onsite in our East Haven, CT office.
