LocationThe Housekeeping Supervisor-Courtyard Pittsburgh is based at CY Pittsburgh - 40 - Rooms, where the successful candidate will work to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality.About the opportunityThe Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.What you'll get to do* Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained* Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and report any maintenance issues* Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ordering replacements as needed* Train and develop new housekeeping staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively* Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any issues promptlySkills and Experience* Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team* Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, and to be on call to respond to emergencies* Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems* Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols* Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time
