Position Summary
Located onsite in Chandler, AZ We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting organization. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Assistant Controller. This role is responsible for executing core accounting functions and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close, reconciliations, compliance support, and government contract accounting support.

This role is well-suited for someone who wants to grow their career by gaining exposure to complex accounting areas, government contracting, and audit processes, while contributing to the overall success of the Controller Team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting tasks, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate reporting deadlines
- Support intercompany transactions and consolidation reporting requirements
- Support cost and inventory accounting including physical inventory counts and inventory reserves
- Support capital expenditures tracking and ensure proper classification of capital vs expense in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage certain accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger activities
- Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits and support audit requests
- Assist with maintaining compliance with SOX and internal control requirements
- Contribute to government contract accounting and reporting, including DCAA compliance support
- Prepare and submit local, state, and federal government reports and tax filings as assigned
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
- Assist with system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process improvements to increase efficiency
- Take initiative on projects and demonstrate a willingness to learn from senior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or government contracting
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to SOX and government contracting financial regulations is a plus
- Proficiency with accounting ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player
- US citizenship is required due to government contract work
