Experience Required

Vascular Access Procedures:
Perform insertion, maintenance, and management of vascular access devices (e.g., ultrasound guided peripheral IVs, PICC lines, and midlines) following evidence-based practice protocols. -
Patient Assessment:
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the most appropriate vascular access device based on individual needs and medical conditions. -
Patient Education:
Provide patients and families with information regarding vascular access procedures, device care, and maintenance, ensuring patient understanding and comfort. -
Collaboration:
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., physicians, other nurses, and specialists) to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal vascular access management. -
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of vascular access procedures. -
Troubleshooting and Complications Management:
Identify and address potential complications such as infection, thrombosis, and occlusions. Provide care and interventions as necessary.

Licensure:
Current, active RN license in Texas. -
Experience:
Minimum of 1.5-2 years of current experience as vascular access Registered Nurse -
Skills:
- Proficiency in vascular access devices and procedures (e.g., PICC, midlines, peripheral IVs, etc.).

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to manage and troubleshoot complications associated with vascular access devices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and families.

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual dexterity tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift and position patients as necessary. -
Travel
- Must be willing to travel for procedures.
