Job Description
Job Title: Associate Architect
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Technical Architect
Location: Bangalore, India
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Associate Architect to drive technical excellence across the organization while leading and mentoring engineering teams. You will own end-to-end architecture and delivery for key services, influence technical direction, and partner closely with Product, DevOps, and QA to ship scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Own and drive end-to-end solution architecture—from design and implementation through production deployment and ongoing evolution
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance designs (trade-offs, risks, and estimates clearly articulated)
Lead technical discoveries and solve complex engineering problems across services, data, and integrations
Define and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, coding guidelines, and engineering guardrails (reviews, checklists)
Ensure systems meet quality attributes: scalability, resilience, maintainability, performance, and security
Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (cloud-native, DevSecOps, automation, observability) and continuous improvement
Team Leadership & Delivery Management
Lead and mentor engineers, setting clear technical direction, raising the bar on design/code quality, and enabling career growth
Coordinate with Product, DevOps/SRE, QA, and Security to plan and execute delivery (milestones, dependencies, and risk management)
Run/participate in design reviews, drive alignment across teams, and communicate trade-offs and decisions to stakeholders
Remain hands-on: contribute to design and implementation, unblock the team, and take ownership of critical components.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of professional software development experience developing applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and containerization using Docker.
Solid experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or equivalent).
Proven experience building REST APIs in containerized, distributed systems.
Strong understanding of coding standards, design patterns, and unit testing practices.
Strong knowledge of software architecture principles including microservices, SOLID, and DDD.
Hands-on experience with queuing mechanisms such as Kafka and AWS SQS.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
Proven ability to lead a small team or act as a technical lead—driving design reviews, code reviews, and delivery execution
Strong communication skills to align stakeholders, document decisions, and influence technical direction across teams
Experience in React JS
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing)
Basic understanding of AI concepts and ability to evaluate AI-driven solutions
