Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
  • Provide treatment addressing:
    • Fine motor development
    • Sensory processing
    • Feeding skills
    • Activities of daily living (ADLs)
    • Self-regulation and functional independence
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Monitor client progress and modify interventions as needed
  • Educate and coach parents and caregivers to support carryover at home
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
  • Supervise occupational therapy assistants and/or students when applicable
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license in good standing (or eligible for Arizona licensure)
  • Valid Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Valid CPR 
  • Current Article 9 Certificate (by the time of hire)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for serving children and families
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth

Preferred

  • One or more years of pediatric occupational therapy experience
  • New graduates with pediatric fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply
  • Experience or strong interest in:
    • Early intervention
    • Developmental disabilities
    • Feeding therapy
    • Sensory integration
  • Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)

Working Conditions

This position requires intermittent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and sitting throughout the workday. Therapists work closely with children who may present with developmental, behavioral, sensory, or physical challenges and may occasionally exhibit challenging behaviors.
