The opportunity
Procurement at Netwealth is continuing to evolve, with a clear strategy in place and a focus on building a more mature, consistent and embedded function across the business.
As Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in progressing this next phase. You will bring structure, oversight and commercial discipline to how suppliers are assessed, onboarded and managed, ensuring procurement supports both business outcomes and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with Finance, Risk and Compliance, Legal and business stakeholders, you will help embed procurement earlier in the decision making process. This includes strengthening supplier governance, improving visibility across the supplier base and ensuring appropriate risk frameworks are in place, particularly in areas such as data protection, KYC and AML considerations.
With a large and diverse supplier base, including service providers subject to regulatory expectations, you will lead the uplift of supplier risk assessment and ongoing monitoring.
At the same time, you will continue to build procurement as a strategic function, balancing cost, risk and value to support better long term outcomes.
Your role will include:
Leading the evolution of the procurement strategy and operating model
Partnering with stakeholders to support supplier selection, negotiations and onboarding early in the process
Building robust supplier risk assessment and monitoring practices, including for material service providers
Ensuring procurement aligns with regulatory requirements, including APRA standards and broader risk considerations such as data protection and KYC and AML
Bringing a commercial mindset to supplier decisions, balancing cost, risk and value
Making procurement a visible and trusted function across the business
About you
You are someone who sees procurement for what it should be. A strategic lever, not a back office process.
Your experience includes:
7 to 10 years’ experience in procurement, ideally at a manager level with people leadership skills
Experience within procurement, ideally in a financial services or regulated environment
Strong understanding of supplier risk, governance and regulatory expectations
Experience across digital, IT or software procurement
Exposure to APRA or ASIC regulated environments
Strong attention to detail and well developed stakeholder engagement skills
Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders and contributing to commercial decision making
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on delivery
Experience building or uplifting procurement functions
