Job Description

  • Full time, continuing opportunity
  • Provide administrative and transitional support for superannuation and staff benefits, including salary packaging across the University
  • Base Salary $126,065 + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

Join a dynamic and collaborative HR Services team where you will play a key role in supporting both the HR Shared Services Centre and the wider University community. In this position, you will provide essential administrative and transitional support across superannuation and staff benefits, including salary packaging, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for employees across the University.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • exercise sound judgement to resolve complex superannuation and benefits-related issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • develop and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure accurate data capture, minimise risk of payment errors, and identify potential process improvements and risks
  • stay up to date with legislative and regulatory changes, assessing impacts on superannuation, taxation, and organisational processes
  • partner with Payroll to review and enhance policies, procedures, and service delivery, ensuring alignment with best practice and effective communication across the University
  • provide responsive support to HR Contact Centre queries and manage exception reporting and fortnightly superannuation payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and broader HRSC activities, while supporting training, team capability, and additional payroll-related responsibilities as required.

About you

  • relevant tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • strong knowledge of superannuation regulations, processes, and payroll administration, ideally within complex or high-volume environments
  • demonstrated ability to interpret policies, exercise sound judgement, and manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines
  • excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly intermediate Excel skills) and HR/payroll systems
  • proven experience in continuous improvement, working in shared services environments, and contributing to team knowledge sharing and process enhancements.
