Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervisor for the PathGroup Physician Support Scheduling Team. Provide scheduling services for PathGroup Physicians. The Physician Support Scheduling Supervisor will have well rounded knowledge regarding all physician scheduling needs across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise the Physician Support Scheduling Team.
- QGenda Scheduling and Administration.
- Coordinate updates with assistance from QGenda as needed.
- Prepare draft schedules for Physician Manager review and approval.
- Communicate with Laboratory Medical Directors to ensure proper coverage is identified.
- Ensure credentialed physicians are scheduled to cover allowed time off.
- Ensure accurate Distribution Lists are maintained.
- Ensure timely distribution of all physician schedules.
- Monitor Physician ATO use.
- Add and deactivate staff and tasks in QGenda as needed.
- Maintain distribution lists for sending out monthly schedules and updates.
- Locum Tenens scheduling and on-boarding:
- Coordinate conversation between or local Team lead physician with prospective locum provider to determine if they are a good fit for the assignment.
- Receive ATO dates for onsite pathologist and all other dates requiring coverage from requesting teams.
- Communicate needs to the locums companies to fill the ATO weeks with the scheduled locum.
- Request and receive confirmation letters from the locums company.
- Enter workdays into QGenda
- Communicate coverage to the onsite pathologist approval the ATO for the local team member.
- Request Network Access, request VIPAR access, add hospitals to Path Tables
- Coordinate Locum Tenens coverage as needed with contracted Locum Tenens Companies.
- Work with QGenda to improve the scheduling system to fully utilize time saving features.
- Assist with training new scheduling personnel.
- Prepare Quarterly Dermatopathology workday reports for VP of Physician Services.
- Other special projects as required.
- Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
- Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
