Investment Manager (m/f/d) in Property / Casualty

 

Job purpose/role

 

As part of the Property & Casualty Investment Management team (IMPC), you will monitor, analyze and support the steering of the approximately EUR 25bn investment portfolio of Allianz Versicherungs-AG, the largest property & casualty insurance entity within Allianz Germany.

Working closely with portfolio managers, asset managers, risk controllers and accounting experts, you will contribute to investment analysis, portfolio steering, liquidity management and management reporting. In addition, you will support the development and implementation of sustainable investment strategies and solutions.

 

Key responsibilities

 

• Monitor and support the steering of investment portfolios
• Perform liquidity planning and monitor daily cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity across Allianz operating entity portfolios
• Conduct ad hoc analyses on investment portfolio specifics
• Contribute to risk controlling activities and related reporting
• Perform investment analyses and prepare decision proposals and management reports for senior management
• Collaborate closely with global Allianz Investment Management teams

 

 

Key requirements/skills/experience

 

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field with above-average academic performance
• First professional experience in investment management or a related financial area (typically up to 3 years)
• Additional qualifications are a plus (e.g. CFA, PhD) 
• Strong analytical, modelling and data skills, including advanced Excel skills 
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced international environment and manage multiple priorities
• Self-starter with a pragmatic, solution-oriented and results-driven mindset 
• Strong interest in capital markets 
• Team player with a collaborative working style
