DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medicine Ambulatory Network - Primary Care Division
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- The purpose of this position is to provide integrated administrative leadership across UW Medicine’s ambulatory clinics, including Harborview Medical Center clinics, to support the ambulatory restructure
- The Assistant Administrator provides senior administrative leadership for UW Medicine Ambulatory Network - Primary Care Division
- This position strengthens system wide coordination while supporting Harborview’s mission and unique operational needs
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for strategic planning and achieving annual objectives, goals, and budgets; initiates systems and strategies to ensure high quality service to patients and financial responsibility of the assigned clinics and programs
- Collaborates with senior leaders, division chiefs, medical directors, and clinic managers to develop, implement and achieve strategic goals and coordinate for effective implementation of initiatives
- Reviews operational metrics/data and conducts analysis to evaluate practice efficiency, effectiveness, and financial sustainability
- Plans, directs, and evaluates the work of subordinate clinical management staff in accordance with the content, spirit and intent of applicable internal/external regulations and standards for human resource management
- Oversees the preparation and monitoring of clinic operating budget, goals, and objectives taking into consideration input from leadership team
- Represents Primary Care and Population Health on UW Medicine committees
REQUIREMENTS
- 4 to 5 year's experience
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, etc.
- Progressive leadership experience in an ambulatory setting
- Budgeting and financial experience
- Experience working in healthcare settings that serve underserved, vulnerable, or marginalized populations with complex social and behavioral health needs
- Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirements
