The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join our Land Recovery business. This is a key leadership role within a high-growth area of Holcim UK, where you’ll act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, supporting the development of a recently acquired business as it continues to evolve.
You’ll play a central role in strengthening financial control, improving insight and reporting, and helping shape the future direction of the finance function within a dynamic operational environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Acting as finance business partner to the Land Recovery Senior Leadership Team, providing insight, challenge and support on performance and decision-making
Leading and developing a small finance team covering invoicing, payroll and credit control, ensuring a robust end-to-end finance process
Owning the month-end process, management accounts, forecasting and budgeting cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clarity of reporting
Strengthening financial controls, balance sheet integrity and compliance, supporting the implementation of group standards and best practice
Supporting commercial decision-making through pricing, costing and financial analysis, helping improve visibility of business performance
Who you are
You are an experienced finance professional operating at Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager level, ideally within a small to mid-sized, fast-moving business environment
You are confident leading a finance team and take pride in developing people, structure and strong financial processes
You bring strong technical accounting knowledge alongside a commercial mindset, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight and action
You are comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders, offering constructive challenge and building trusted working relationships
You work with high attention to detail, strong integrity and a clear focus on financial control, governance and continuous improvement
