Job Description
Tuff Shed is recruiting for a Fleet & DOT Program Administrator located at our National Support Center in south metro Denver (I-25 & Colorado Blvd). This is an hourly position with a hybrid work option of 2 days remote / 3 days in office.
The Fleet & DOT Program Administrator, is responsible for administrating the Tuff Shed DOT program, ensuring that each employee who drives a CMV is 100% compliant with Federal, State and Company requirements.
The essential functions for this position include but are not strictly limited to:
Administers Tuff Shed’s DOT program, ensuring that each eligible employee has a complete driver file within the Fleet-worthy portal
Administers, assigns, and ensures that all driver training modules are completed by each Tuff Shed driver
Administers, assigns, and removes driver access to the ELD devices
Reviews the HOS violation reports that are sent by 3rd party vendor; working with each location/driver ensure the necessary corrections and training for compliance within the federal mandate
Guides and directs management on how to submit all required paperwork for onboarding new DOT drivers
Runs and distributes weekly expiration reports for driver's license, medical certificates and MVRS to help keep all DOT drivers compliant; this includes communicating with managers to schedule exams, when needed
Assigns and manages all driver training for DOT drivers and their managers
Partners with IT, HR, and Stores regarding all new hires and terminations of company drivers to ensure proper access, reassignment or removal from fleet providers.
Completes, files, and manages all FMCA, UCR and state reports, as needed
Assists stores and drivers with fuel card replacements, profiles and PIN management
Provides overall analysis of Fleet programs to leadership
Assists in the development of Fleet recommendations for the company
Serves as a backup to the Program director for repair approvals, transfers, registrations and inspections
QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of all current government DOT regulations, preferred
Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office (with proven Excel skills) required; including experience with DOT/Safety reporting and tracking systems
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail a must; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment
Ability to read, write, and understand instructions given orally, in writing, and/or in diagram form
Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for Tuff Shed
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public
EXPERIENCE
Experience administering DOT/Fleet/Safety programs in a manufacturing or construction environment, preferred.
Education/CERTIFICATION
High school diploma equivalent
DOT and Safety Certificates or requisite experience preferred
NSC2021
