Material Handler / CDL Driver

Job Title: Reports To: Job Category: Business Unit: Location:   WH CDL Driver Logistics Manager Shipping RTU Granite Falls   Job Overview:                 This position is responsible for movement of trailers between our facilities, staging trailers at dock doors, load and unloading trailers, work with Shipping Coordinator to ensure moves are made in proper order and in timely manner, inventory accuracy.  Responsibilities & Duties: Safety ·        Keeps Safety at the forefront of team’s thinking and approach to work. ·        Communicates and ensures all safety procedures are strictly adhered to.  Follows warehouse instruction in building loads and trailer movement. Leadership Sets the tone by always promoting professional teamwork, a high standard for work ethic and integrity. Maintains high standard throughout daily activities while also being a reliable teammate Ability to operate Fork/Clamp Trucks and assist team when needed. Ability to work overtime as needed and different shifts to observe and support the team as needed   Operational Excellence ·        Complete trailer moves with safety as the primary focus ·        Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and professionally communicating ways to improve the work environment. ·        Assists to maintain a safe, well organized, FIFO (first in, first out) controlled warehouse per Pregis Best Practice. ·        Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and professionally communicating ways to improve the work environment. Essentials ·        Manage company’s risks and liabilities ·        Other duties as assigned     Qualifications: ·        Must have a valid and active CDL A license and maintains this CDL A license while employed by Pregis. Safe driving record Experience with Power Industrial equipment Working Conditions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds and endure elevated temperature levels. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on quality. ·        Strong work ethic, positive attitude with ability to adapt to change. ·        Must be able to lift 50 lbs.   Measurements of Success: Shipping Dept Safety performance will be strong Shipping KPI targets will be met or exceeded, related to: OTIF CCI’s TL Cube Efficiency Cost Metrics
